Welcome to Poderaccio Farmhouse
Our farm is located in Tuscany, in the countryside between Maremma and Mount Amiata, on the beautiful green hills alongside the river Fiora. In the surrounding area, better know for its Etruscan past, you can appreciate the beauty of a still wild and pure nature.
Here you will enjoy your staying, thanks to the peaceful place, only accompanied by the sound of nature and by the freshness of the air, even in summer.
Our estate extends on a hilly area of 80 hectares, at the altitude of about 600 meters above sea level.
The land is partly covered by wood and the soil is cultivated with cereal growing, fodder plants and olive trees.
The main house, built with stone and recently restored, includes a garden and a large swimming pool with Jacuzzi.
Place to visit
Few kilometres far from the villa, it is possible to reach Saturnia, well known all over the world for its famous thermal baths, that are among the biggest ones in Europe. Its thermal water, at the constant temperature of 37 °C, allows people to have bath all year round.
On the outskirts of "il Poderaccio", you can also visit Semproniano, the small village of Rocchette di Fazio, Manciano, Roccalbegna, the castle of Triana, the ancient necropolis of Sovana, Sorano and tha characteristic town of Pitigliano.
For "wine lovers", our farmhouse is on the way of a famous wine road called "Strada del vino colli di Maremma", that includes the most important wine in the area: Morellino di Scansano, Bianco di Pitigliano and Rosso di Montecucco.
Furthermore, in about 30 minutes you can reach the top of Mount Amiata; here, at 1700 meters of altitude, you can also find a well organized ski resort. In the surrounding areas of Monte Amiata it is possible to visit the towns of Arcidosso, Castel del Piano, Santa Fiora and Seggiano.
If you wish, you can easily reach the seaside of Maremma, one of the most beautiful and fascinating place of Tyrrhenian Sea, with its famous beaches located in: Castiglion della Pescaia, Argentario, Isola del Giglio, Cala Violina, Punta Ala,alberese, ecc..
The area also offers the possibility to visit different natural parks, such as the close park of Rocconi, the natural reserve of Pescinello, the animal reserve of Monte Labro and the big park of Uccelllina, located in the heart of Maremmma.
